Central Coast Railroad Festival

Here's the preliminary detailed 2019 Schedule.

Not all venues are open all days of the Festival. Please read the schedule carefully for dates and times for each venue.

The SLO Railroad Museum is open SATURDAY ONLY during the Festival.
See the Museum's detailed schedule for Saturday, October 5th.

If you'd like your organization to participate this year, please Contact the Festival as soon as possible. It's a fun and easy way to get some attention!

Art After Dark at SLO Railroad Museum

August 2, 2019, 6-9pm. Join us at the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum to see some of SLO's finest artists and their railroad-themed art. And it's an Ice Cream Social with free tasting by McConnell's of Santa Barbara (full-serving purchases available, too). We will have painters, photographers, and the incredible art piece that is becoming our museum-quality model railroad. Admission is FREE for this special occasion. Details.

Modeling Clinic at SLO Railroad Musem

August 24, 2019, Noon. Next up is "Application of SP coast line train operations to our CCMR modeling program." Details.

Wine Rail Excursions
Now thru October

Riders will take the mid-afternoon Amtrak Coast Starlight over the Cuesta Grade, head to the Fableist Wine Company (formerly Pomar Junction Winery) for one of their infamous Train Wreck Fridays, and then head back to the SLO station by bus. Contact the Museum at (805) 548-1894 or email media@slorrm.com for Wine Rail Excursion tickets. Tickets are limited. Details.

Oceano Depot

The Oceano Depot is open every Sunday from 1-3pm. Tours can be arranged by appointment by calling Linda Austin at 805-489-5446.
