SLO Railroad Museum Train Fest
at Bitter Creek Western Railroad

Rare Opportunity! Here's your chance to ride the rails at Bitter Creek on Sunday, October 6th, 2019. Tickets required. Presale only, no tickets will be sold at the event. The last 50 tickets will be sold at the Museum this coming Saturday the 5th starting at 10am. Details.

Modeling Clinic at SLO Railroad Musem

This Saturday, October 5th, 2019, 10am. "Right of Way and Trackside Details" by Bob Chaparro. Bob's talk will also include a brief overview of local model railroads you can visit during the Festival. Details.

Oceano Depot and the SLOMRA

This weekend the Depot will be open Friday-Sunday, 10am-4pm each day, and will include extensive model layouts by the San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association. The Oceano Depot is routinely open every Sunday from 1-3pm.

Friends PCRy Field Trip Photos

On Saturday, September 28, 2019 Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad led a field trip along what was the Pacific Coast Railway right-of-way from Santa Maria to Los Alamos. See story and photos.

Santa Arrives by Train

On Saturday, December 7, 2019 at about 2:30pm, Santa will arrive at the SLO Amtrak Station and SLO Railroad Museum by train - Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner. A procession will make its way to the Museum where Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet with everyone in the La Cuesta (the Museum's historic observation/cafe car). See last year's.
