There's a new railroad in town! It's the

It's a brand spankin' new 600mm gauge railroad, running through a vineyard and citrus orchard, focusing on superbly refurbished railroad equipment including a WWI trench engine. Watch for details on how you can visit and ride during the Railroad Festival!

Each year, Bob Chaparro has organized a tour of private and public model railroad layouts throughout San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County for the Festival. And he's back! Modelers are already signing up and Bob expects to have layouts numbering in the upper twenties once again. For an example tour, from 2019, click
