Next year's Central Coast Railroad Festival is scheduled for [drum roll...] October 6-8, 2023.

• Oct 23: BSA Railroading Merit Badge, 1pm-4:30pm, details
• Nov 5: Girl Scout Open House Day, drop-in 10am-4pm.
• Dec 3: Santa Arrives on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, about 12:30pm, free Museum admission while Santa is there.

Friends Photo Contest Extended: Nov 1st

The Photo Contest deadline for the Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad has been extended to November 1st. Details here.

The winning photos from the 2022 Photo Contest held by the SLO Railroad Museum were unveiled during the Festival at the Museum on Saturday morning. Enjoy these great rail photos at the Museum for the next year and/or on this webpage. Our winning photographers were: Eric Peterson, Ansyn Meacham, Elisabeth Haug, Lars Mikkelsen, Catherine "Cat" Evans, Ronald Robinson, Michael Schmiechen, and Nathaniel Holguin.
