Halter Ranch Railroad Update
Looks like there's a new railroad in town! Or at least on its way to town.
Halter Ranch Winery/Vineyard in Paso Robles has been building a railroad for some time, and appears to be getting close to ready. There's nothing on their website yet about the railroad, but you can check out this April 2022
YouTube video for an update.
Train at Night In The Desert, by O'Keeffe
It was a "slow news day" putting this e-blast together, so you never know what your editor may find. What he did find, especially for you guys out there, is something train-related that the gals in your life might appreciate. It was Georgia O'Keeffe's birthday on November 15th, which he (your editor), not surprisingly, did not know. But what he was surprised about was that he did not know that O'Keeffe had painted a "Train at Night In The Desert" (pictured here). He and his wife, a big fan of O'Keeffe's, had just been to New Mexico a year or so ago, visited her house and a number of museums and galleries with her work, but never saw this piece. Show your gal, see if she's familiar with Georgia O'Keeffe.
