Please Share Your Festival Photos

It's never too late to send us your Festival photos! We'd love to share those photos with others here on the website, and give you proper credit, of course. Any/all venues and any/all times apply. Send your photos to the CCRRF's webmaster: webman@CCRRF.com. It helps if you indicate where and when your photos were taken.

House of Bread Happy Hour Fundraiser

SMVRR Friends: New Preservation Fund

The Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad have begun a new program to scan and archive blueprints and drawings from the age of steam. You can help with this project by donating to the fund. Details are here.

SP Historical/Technical Society Convention

The SP Historical & Technical Society Convention will be held October 25-28, 2023 in Bakersfield, CA. Details are here.

Mumtober at Dallidet Gardens

October 28th, 11:30am to 2:00pm, at the Dallidet Adobe & Gardens. From their website: "We've got Chrysanthemums on the mind! We have over 20 different varieties of mums growing in the Dallidet Gardens, along with our usual assortment of flowers, vegetables, and herbs. And once again, we can't wait to share with you! Savor tasty soup while soaking in the beauty of the fall garden." Details are here. While you're there, don't miss their SLO Street Railway Car under a shelter in the gardens.

• Dec 2: Santa Arrives on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, about 12:30pm, free Museum admission while Santa is there.

Christmas at the Ranch

The Santa Margarita Ranch, that is. And of course, the Pacific Coast Railroad will be featured. The fun begins November 24th. Watch for the announcement that ticket sales are open. We hear the elves are hard at work already doing lights, decorations, and everything else it takes to make the perfect Christmas ambience!

Zoo Holiday Magic Train Display

The Central California Coast Garden Railroad Society will have a holiday garden railroad display at Atascadero's Charles Paddock Zoo during the Zoo's "Holiday Magic" on December 16, 2023. From the zoo website: "Experience the magic of the holiday season as the zookeepers step in as Santa's Elves to prepare gifts for the animals. Santa will be there, too! Something for everyone!"

Halter Ranch Private Train Tours

Did you know that Halter Ranch Railroad offers private train tours! From their website: "Take your guests on a private journey through our vineyard estate with sights ranging from extraordinary art installations and historical landmarks to winemaking unfolding before your eyes." Details are here.
