Model Railroad Layout Tour #50 organized by the Model Railroads of Southern California. The detailed schedule is here (PDF). Bike Ride Along the Former Pacific Coast Railway Route. Meet at the Museum (1940 Santa Barbara Ave., SLO) at 9:00am. Depart at 9:15am for a docent-escorted tour to the Octagon Barn (about 3.5 miles). From that point, riders may continue a non-escorted ride as far as they wish (maps will be provided for those wanting to go as far as Port San Luis [the PCRy terminus]), or they may return to the Museum, by about 10:00am. Those returning to the Museum may then have a guided tour of the Pacific Coast Railway exhibits. Recommended: helmets; water; layered, brightly colored clothes. Photos...
